Arflex is initially an Italian Firm and yet in 1958, Théo and Michel Shulmann decided to open a Parisian branch in close relationship with Marco Zanuso.

Architect, interior designer and deputy editor of Domus Magazine. Important partner of Gio Ponti, he launches his own studio in 1940 and Works with the socialist Roman architect and designer Lina Bo Bardi. During their collaboration, they take an active role in the evaluation of the World War II damages in Italy and involve in a socialist production.
Nowdays, the Italian Design is recognized as a perfect synthesis of artisanal traditions and engineering. About Carlo Pagani, a great work is still to do.
